Title: CONCESSION/WAREHOUSE MANAGER

This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position which includes a full range of benefits including paid time off, extended medical leave, holidays, employee health, dental, life, disability, retirement and tuition assistance.
JOB DESCRIPTION
This position is responsible for overseeing all concessions operations. Also responsible for operating all purchasing, receiving, storage, and distribution of all food and beverage product throughout the facility. This position is under the direct supervision of the Family Arena General Manager. Tracks and monitors all distribution of food and beverage products within the unit. Seeks and maintains relationships with the vendors. Maintains high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in warehouse and in all food and beverage storage areas. Manages and upholds standards for all concession operations. Schedules all part time concession and warehouse workers. Coordinates the group volunteer program. Directly supervises warehouse and concessions staff, including hiring, training, coaching and maintaining sufficient staff. Overall maintenance of concession areas including portables. Responsible for tracking inventories and preparing reports. Event trouble shooting and maintaining tangent system. Responsible for entry of closing data and checking stand sheets. Coordinates uniform distribution and ensures all uniforms are cleaned for events. Responsible for shrinkage control. Receives, stores and rotates product. Ensures concession stands are counted and loaded properly on event days. Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Requires a high school education or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree a plus. Must have at least 5 years of concession/retail experience. Must have strong customer service skills and over all knowledge of concessions. Must be team oriented and possess strong communication and computer skills. Must be detail-oriented and be well versed in food & beverage products, sanitation, pricing, quality and pack sizes. Ability to utilize a variety of advisory data and information such as invoices, purchase orders, payroll documents, etc. Ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling. An equivalent combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

Title: FA - Conversion Staff

Supervision Exercised: Conversion Staff
General Statement of Duties: The Conversion staff member will help in the set-up and breakdown of the stages, chairs, risers, bleachers, house drapes, and flooring for events.
Areas of Responsibilities:
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of staging, risers, chairs, bleachers, house drapes, carpeting, portable flooring, hockey dashers, ice making, etc. as directed by the Event Manager.
- Responsible for making sure all equipment is put in pre-designated space.
- Performs minor maintenance on equipment used for setup and breakdown of events.
- Performs all other job related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated knowledge of hand and basic power tools, forklifts, zamboni and scissors lift is preferred.
- Must have access to basic hand tools.
- Must have ability to work indoors and outdoors, being exposed to environmental conditions including extreme heat and cold, dust, dirt, extreme noise and potential hazardous materials.
- Withstand prolonged walking, standing, bending, pushing, stooping and kneeling without restricitions.
- Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs unassisted or 125 lbs assisted and operated vehicles in the performance of assigned duties in an effective and safe proper manner.
- Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, overnights, weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to communicate effectively.
- Maintain a professional, neat well groomed appearance.

General Statement of Duties: Responsible for overall maintenance and cleanliness of kitchen and pantry area.

- Washing all pots, pans and utensils as they accumulate
- Ensure that the kitchen is both safe and sanitary at all times.
- Clean all spills as they happen.
- Assist in receiving and storing of all food and beverage items
- Sweep and mop walk-in coolers and storerooms daily.
- On-going maintenance of trash receptacles in the kitchen.
- Maintain employee bathroom
- Keep paper towel and soap dispensers filled.
- Keep chemical room clean and organized at all times.
- Be pro-active in finding miscellaneous duties throughout the kitchen.

Title: Stand Manager

Supervision Exercised and Statement of Duties: Supervise production of all food items being sold out of the concessions stand.
Areas of Responsibilities:
- Supervise preparation of food items necessary for all events.
- Ensure proper rotation of food to ensure freshness and quality.
- Ensure all closing tasks are completed on closing checklists in allotted time.
- Maintain an organized clean and safe work area at all times, as described in the employee handbook.
- Question anything that may be unclear to you.
- Limit waste and spoilage by on-going communication with other areas of the concession stand.
- Must have strong math skills and cash handling skills.
- Adherence to all policies and guidelines as described in the Family Arena handbook.
- Assume responsibility for any duty asked of you by a member of Management or other supervisor.
- Monitor overall maintenance of concession stand and other work areas.
- Be willing to train new Utility workers and NPO Group workers when needed.
Qualifications:
Must possess strong will to work and have some cash handling and math skills. Must be able to work well with others as a team. Must be knowledgeable of safety and sanitation policies. Must have a keen eye for detail and the highest standards for food quality and presentation.

Ticket Takers
Current Status: Closed
A ticket taker’s primary responsibility is to greet guests upon entering the building and receive an admission ticket being sure to check for the proper date, time, and event.

- Be certain each guest is greeted in a warm, friendly manner (“Good evening” or “Welcome”)
- Ensure that guests are orderly prior to the opening of the doors.
- Be certain that each guest possesses a valid admission ticket by checking that the proper event name, date and time appears on each ticket.
- Direct all guests to the general direction of their seating sections (“Section __ is to your left and an usher can show you to your seat.”)
- Keep your lines moving as rapidly as possible, and if able, assist other ticket takers by directing longer lines to your area.
- Be responsible for maintaining correct ticket counts and turnstile numbers. A drop count will be taken at each event.
- Check for food, drinks, coolers, photo/video equipment and other contraband.
- After the ticket counts are complete, a ticket taker may be required to be posted at a section where an usher is needed.
- Be on time. Be in uniform and ready to work at your call time.
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and all shifts.

Ushers
Current Status: Closed
An usher’s primary responsibility is to greet the guests as they enter the seating section, and to show the guest to their seat.
- Smile and make eye contact!
- Be proactive – approach your guests; don’t wait for them to approach you. Be sure that each guest is greeted in a warm and friendly manner (“Hello, May I show you to your seat?”). Escort all guests to their seats.
- Inspect your area prior to an event to be certain that it is clean and presentable to our guests. Be sure there are no broken seats in your section.
- Check each ticket thoroughly noting the date, section, row and seat number.
- Receive and act upon complaints from guests and refer them to the Guest Services Manager if unable to satisfy their needs. Know where the nearest staff person with a radio is at all times.
- Keep aisles and steps clear of people.
- When observing a patron smoking in the facility, direct them to the designated smoking areas.
- Notify the Guest Services office when spills occur in your section.
- Notify the Guest Services Manager when accidents, injuries or disturbances occur in your area.
- When observing a patron with unauthorized contraband (video/audio recorders, cameras) contact the Guest Services Manager immediately.
- Be on time. Be in uniform and ready to work at your call time.

Crowd Management
Current Status: Closed
The primary responsibility of crowd management personnel is to guard designated areas by restricting access to the general public and to all who are not properly credentialed. It is important to be as courteous, polite, and as helpful as possible to guests without allowing access to a restricted area. Crowd management representatives are positioned at key security and high traffic areas, including but not limited to; player benches and locker rooms, performer dressing rooms, front of stage, loading dock doors, truck and bus gate, guest entrances/exits and the arena floor. They will also be responsible for maintaining order when necessary to ensure the safety of all people who use this facility.

Parking Attendant
Current Status: Closed
A Parking Attendant main responsibility is to direct motorists during an event and is responsible for the following:
- Smile, Greet and make eye contact with our guests! A parking attendant should have a pleasing personality, courteous disposition, and be a team player. He must be in good health and agile. Since attendants work with people and cars, an applicant should be comfortable working with both.
- Answer incoming motorist’s questions and direct questions appropriately.
- Attend to the needs of any guests that require assistance crossing the street.
- Assist in setting up the parking lot for events with barricades, cones and opening and closing gates.
- Assist motorists in finding parking spaces and directing traffic as needed.
- Required to work in inclimate weather. They keep count of the vehicles and holds required spaces for reservations and our VIP Guests
- The parking attendant maintains security in the assigned lot. He watches for suspicious activity and ensure that no one is vandalizing our guest vehicles. and reports such. They notify their Parking Supervisor of any problems. Another duty of a parking attendant is to check for parking space availability.

Parking Collector
